BIRA-IASB has a longstanding expertise in the modeling of the atmosphere of Mars. In the early 1990s the first 2D model for the chemistry in the Martian atmosphere was developed by Didier Moreau and Guy Brasseur.
Projects:
-
Master Thesis : The annular massives of Jabal al Uweynat and Jabal Arkenu, cartographic, petrological and mineralogical studies.: Comparative study of hydrothermal alteration models of basic mantel-derived magma during final crystallization
-
PhD Thesis: Aeronomy of the lower and middle atmosphere of Mars: Development of a two-dimensional mathematical model of the Martian atmosphere treating interactively dynamical chemical and radiative processes.
-
Annex Thesis: The analysis of the infrared data (0.76 to 3.15 microns) from ISM imaging spectrometer on the Phobos 2 probe can be used to decide between the wind, volcanic, sedimentary and hydrothermal deposits and the Amazonian Hespériens component inside the Mariner Valley on Mars.
